The Planter (Black Elder)
If you are to be accepted as a responsible Black Elder among your people, you must plant the seeds that will produce the needed harvest. If your people are hungry, you must plant the seed of the wheat. If they are uneducated, you must plant the seed of knowledge.
If they are culturally confused and economically misused, you must plant the seeds of culture pride and prosperity. If they are politically disenfranchised, you must plant the seeds of spiritual enrichment and direction.
As the Black Elder embedded with the knowledge of God- you must spare no efforts to alert your people to the nourishment that come from the eating of the harvest. If you fail in doing so, all who does not eat of the harvest shall perish.
T.M.E.S.(1988)
Mission Statement
We advocate for the poor and disenfranchised Black citizens by building bridges or clearing the pathway for self-help. A self help initiative is necessary for a people to obtain or maintain a sense of dignity and peace in their community. C.C.B.E. seek to inspire the poorer Black and disenfranchised communities to unify on the strength of their cultural, spiritual and historical values for group economic prosperity and political potency.
On the Following Crucial Points C.C.B.E. Advocates:
Culture Development -------- Redeem the knowledge of your Black culture then reinvest in self and kind first.
Spiritual Development ------ Make the creator real in your daily life beyond the emotional religious experiences on Sunday.
Historical Development ---- Accept your Black and African self. A people with no understanding of their history is a people with no plans and direction. A people who project their future worth based on the history of another people are destined
be made fools by that people.
Objectives
To demonstrate unity among 60% of the poor and disenfranchised Black citizens by way of collective community efforts, hard work, honesty, mutual respect and tough love. A feat that requires no less then the systematic dismantling of the conditioned negative stereotypical attitudes of mistrust, self-hatred and Black oppression.
To encourage Black entrepreneurship by concretizing the natural talents, gifts, and limited financial resources of 60% of the poor and disenfranchised citizens for the purpose of institution building.
Initial focus will be on supporting and/or /starting successful mom and pop local efforts, in which a higher level of financial sustainability can be achieved to feed, cloth, protect, educate and defend self and kind.
To positively impact 50% of our Black youth by redirecting them away from destructive and violent behaviors. C.C.B.E will initiate and/or support existing community youth programs designed to cultivate the essence of a Black and Afrikan value system.
To elevate political awareness and maturity among 60% of the poor and disenfranchised. The need to establish political capital and a greater political presence in the Black communities, for the poor and disenfranchised, with the entities that controls the political destiny of their community is paramount.
To work with at least two existing outreach services that are addressing the basic needs of the poor. C.C.B.E. ultimate goal is to initiate outreach centers in at least 4 of the most economically oppressed Black communities.
C.C.B.E. will be an advocacy group for the political, social, economic, educational, civil and human rights for the poor and disenfranchised citizens in oppressed Black communities.
